Praise the Lord to all who viewed and/or participated in this weeks poll. As prophesied, men today would stop reading their bibles and will prefer the cares of this world. What is keeping you from reading yours? The answer should be nothing. When you first learned how to drive, did you know every rule and regulation required to pass the written exam? Probably not. But you studied and you studied...and when the exam came...you passed. Now do you set aside everything you learned in the manual? No. You advance to be even a better driver. The majority of drivers when pulled over for a traffic violation offer the #1 excuse "I did not know I was breaking the law". But think about it...if the driver stayed in his manual...then he would not have been in ignorance concerning the violation of the law.

Our Lord has given us a Book, loaded with blessings, promises, and wisdom. It also has reproofs and solemn warnings to all who neglect it. Can the transgressor say "I did not know I was breaking the law" No. Jesus, the living Word of God, is offered freely to all men who accept Him. Then once accepted, the man reads His Word, learns to grow in grace, and the character is transformed into that of the Divine nature.

I have a one-a-day Bible, and I read it everyday. A portion of the Old Testament, a portion of the New Testament, a Psalm, and a Proverb. By the end of the year, I have read the whole Bible.

I read mine at least twice a day, sometimes even mid day too. I like to have God as my first and last thoughts of everyday. Smile

If we do not eat physical food we will starve to death physicaly. If we do not feed our selves on the bread of life our Spiritual food the Word of God we will also starve to death. Let us feed our selves often on the Holy Word of God. So we can be restored back into the image we were created to be in.
