For the past couple of weeks, I have been going through a test. The people around me, especially family, keep asking me to do stuff on the Sabbath, some of them masked as something "harmless" or "emergencies". But I know better, I know I'm only supposed to help out in case of real emergencies.

I also know I'm not the first to go through this. So, how do I make it irrevocably clear that the Sabbath is off bounds for any type of secular work, buying or selling, considering I still live with them.

Do I just keep saying no? Cause I have said no, but it's like they aren't listening.

How have some of you dealt with this?

I just kept saying no. Consistent refusal. Questions/requests come up time to time but now they know not to ask me to do stuff on Sabbath.
